The Great Devourer is coming...

« on: 12/14/08, 16:40:24 »

This is a project that got side lined because of the massive Ultramarine project. The Orc & Goblin project is pretty huge in itself with 75 orcs (pictured), 3 boar chariots, and a couple of war machines still to paint (Not pictured).

I hope to maybe work on these again soon. But for now I thought I'd share the army (collecting dust) picture.

I'll be watching this. Love orcs and when I'm caught up with all my other sculpts I'll be doing a few more. Great inspiration.  Wink

Is it a new one or you have shown parts of this army before (like quite some time ago actually).  Looks scary and impressive.

The Squigs and Orc units haven't been photo'd before with the rest of the force. I got them out and put them on the shelf to inspire me to paint my Ultramarinees faster. The new fresh pic and the thread are of added motivational benefit to me. Just seeing those 75 orcs makes me feel guilty as hell that they're not done yet.

I think I started the Orc and Goblin project in late 2006 and stopped painting them in late 2007ish. So it's been a while since I worked on them. Hoping that changes next year.

Great stuff as always Gareth.  The banner is fantastic and I love the rusty weapons.  I've probabaly asked you before but how do you do it - it looks like three colours but I'd like to know what the reddy orange one is.

Looking forward to you getting back to painting the greenskins
